We provide academic assistance to youth
in grades K-12.It is structured so
that youth acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to succeed in
school and in society. We have five locations where tutoring is available; Garden
City Elementary School, North Star Elementary
School, Seward Montessori School, Southeast Asian Community Council, and Sumner
Library. This program provides tutoring assistance in math, reading,
writing and homework assistance in other subjects. At the Southeast Asian
Community Council location we have a computer lab available for students to
enhance their typing, reading, writing, and math skills.
To help operate this program we have two
licensed teachers and numerous tutors and volunteers.
